At least four people have lost their lives this Tuesday after a new attack by the Russian Army against the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, located in the eastern province of Dnipropetrovsk, local authorities have reported. The bombing is part of the invasion that began in February 2022 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The governor of Dnipropetrovsk, Oleksandr Ganzha, has pointed out in a brief message on Telegram that "the Russian night attack on the city has left four dead." "My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased," he added, while emergency teams continue search and rescue efforts in the affected areas.
The Ukrainian Air Force has indicated that, during the night, Russian forces launched more than 210 drones and around fifteen missiles against different points in the country. Subsequently, it specified that "the main targets of the attack were Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovograd, and Poltava."
According to this report, air defense systems managed to intercept nine missiles and 177 drones. However, several projectiles and unmanned devices impacted 22 locations in Ukraine. "The attack continues, as there are enemy drones in the airspace," the Air Force has warned, urging the population to "follow safety regulations."
At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense has claimed a "massive attack" with missiles and drones directed against "facilities of the metallurgical and chemical industries," "companies in the energy and fuel sector," "military industrial complexes," and "port infrastructure" in Kiev, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Odesa.
