The Iranian authorities reported this Tuesday the death of four people, including a minor, and more than 50 injured during the celebration of a wedding, as a consequence of a U.S. airstrike recorded in the town of Kuhestak, in the Sirik county, in the southern province of Hormozgan.

The deputy governor for Political, Security, and Social Affairs of Hormozgan, Ahmad Nafisi, has confirmed this victim count and stated that "more details about the incident and the condition of the injured will be made known once the investigations are completed," as reported by the IRNA news agency.

After the attack, fifteen ambulances were dispatched to the site, in addition to rescue teams responsible for debris removal and initial care for those affected. "Some of the injured have received treatment after being attended to by medical services and others have been transferred to Minab Hospital for more specialized care," Nafisi indicated.

The provincial official has acknowledged that the death toll could increase as search and rescue efforts on the ground progress, within the framework of the U.S. bombings that have targeted the city of Bandar Abbas, the town of Sirik, as well as Jask and Queshm.
