The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD, for its initials in English) communicated this Sunday that two general aviation aircraft were intercepted after violating the temporary flight restrictions over Bedminster, in the state of New Jersey, near the golf club where the President of the United States, Donald Trump, was located.
"The (fighters) F-16 of NORAD have intercepted today several general aviation aircraft that violated the temporary flight restrictions over Bedminster," the command pointed out in a message disseminated on social media, in which it also specified that "all aircraft were safely escorted out of the area by NORAD planes."
The Republican leader was spending the weekend at his national golf club in Bedminster, the venue for the four-day LIV Golf New York tournament, as reported by Fox News.
On the other hand, the Air Force has reminded general aviation pilots of the importance of reviewing Notices to Airmen (NOTAM, for its initials in English) before taking off, in order to have the most recent information on airspace limitations and other flight procedures.
