Agenda July 20-26
This week we talk about:
EXTRAORDINARY PLENARY - HEALTH
EXTRAORDINARY PLENARY
Bringing out the broom. The Congress of Deputies will hold on Thursday the 23rd the famous 'Broom Plenary' in which the matters that have remained pending during the session period are included before the curtain falls for the summer break. The agenda is not closed and will not be official until Tuesday, but DEMÓCRATA advances its main points.
Another opportunity for the path. The path of budgetary stability, which was rejected last week, returns to the Plenary for its second chance. It is not expected to succeed, as the result will be the same; however, the law allows the Government to move forward with the process and bring the Budget project to the Chamber starting in September.
Anti-crisis shield. The groups will vote on the validation of the royal decree-law of anti-crisis measures to address the consequences of the conflict in the Middle East. It includes the extension of tax relief on fuels for households and the gradual withdrawal of the so-called generation tax, the Tax on the value of electricity production.
Early retirement. The Plenary examines another royal decree-law, in this case, the partial early retirement of the labor personnel of the Public Administrations and the insularity supplement in the Balearic Islands.
Bridge to the RETA. The reform to facilitate alternative mutualists a bridge to Social Security is close to becoming a reality. After the approval of the bill in the Senate with modifications, Congress will vote on them, leaving the norm ready for publication in the BOE. However, the definition of many of its aspects remains subject to subsequent regulatory development.
From the Senate, with love. The Plenary of Congress will address the amendments introduced by the Senate to two other bills: the reform of the neonatal screening program of the SNS and the transfer of the competencies of the AP-9 to Galicia.
PP and Vox, against the debt forgiveness. The hemicycle will debate total amendments registered by PP and Vox against the bill of exceptional measures for financial sustainability for the autonomous communities of common regime, whose core is the forgiveness of the autonomous debt. Both groups request the return of the text, arguing that it breaks the principle of financial responsibility, generates inequality between regions, and is the result of a bilateral pact to favor Catalonia.
Being a group will be easier. The report prepared by the Rules Commission to lower the requirements for forming a parliamentary group, via reform of the Regulations, reaches the Plenary.
HEALTH
Lists to continue. According to what DEMÓCRATA has learned, two important bills promoted by Health have already passed through the CGSEYS and are ready for the Council of Ministers, so their approval will be imminent, possibly this Tuesday: the Draft Law on Medicines and the anti-tobacco reform.
