The Houthi authorities have communicated this Sunday that seven people have lost their lives and another 40 have been injured in a bombing carried out by the Saudi aviation, allied with the internationally recognized Yemeni government, against a market located in the province of Taiz.
According to the Yemeni news agency Saba, controlled by the Houthis, the attack targeted the Mauiya market, in the Al Taiziya district, and also caused significant material damage in the area.
The Houthi officials have condemned this bombing, executed when the market was full of people, considering it a "serious attack against civilian infrastructure." "This escalation affects the life, interests, and lives of civilians against the laws and principles that prohibit attacking civilians and civilian targets," they lamented.
They also emphasized that the Mauiya area constitutes a strategic crossing for trade and the transit of population, so this attack "directly threatens the lives of civilians and the stability and essential services of the area," according to the Houthis.
