At least one person has lost their life in a new Russian ballistic missile attack against Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, according to what the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, has reported.

On this occasion, the bombardment has targeted the Darnitsia district, where the Russian projectiles have struck several warehouses, according to the mayor’s statements, who for now has not offered further information on the matter.

In parallel, the UN nuclear agency, the International Atomic Energy Agency (OIEA), has confirmed the death of a worker at the Zaporiyia Nuclear Power Plant, located in the Ukrainian region of Energodar and currently under Russian control, as a consequence of an attack with unidentified drones.

"Any attack on the personnel of a nuclear plant is completely unacceptable and violates the Seven Indispensable Pillars for Nuclear Safety and Security during an armed conflict," condemned the director general of the OIEA, Rafael Mariano Grossi.
