The recognized painter and sculptor Antonio López and the veteran environmental leader Inés Sabanés will symbolically occupy the last positions on the Frente Amplio list for Congress for the Madrid constituency in the general elections on November 29, as the candidacy itself has communicated.

With the presence of Sabanés, who was already a deputy in Congress, and Antonio López at the end of the coalition's ballot, Frente Amplio emphasizes that its list for the capital sends a "strong message of openness towards culture, environmental activism, and civil commitment."

The candidacy for Madrid of Frente Amplio is led by the leader of Más Madrid, Emilio Delgado, with his party mate Tesh Sidi in second place, while the third position falls to the leader of IU Toni Valero and the fourth to the coordinator of Movimiento Sumar, Verónica Barbero.

From the candidacy, they emphasize that Sabanés is a "fundamental reference of green management" in the city and a former parliamentarian who brings to the list "the historical endorsement of Madrid's political ecology."

Regarding Antonio López, the coalition values that he is one of the "most universal figures of contemporary realism" and a "creator of iconic images" that have become part of Madrid's visual identity. In this way, Frente Amplio stresses that the artist joins the project "to advocate for the strategic importance of defending artistic freedom and cultural investment in institutions."

The campaign direction of the list for Madrid emphasizes that being able to count on these two trajectories for the symbolic closure of the candidacy represents "an absolute pride" and evidences the "transversal and cohesive space that seeks to mobilize the progressive vote of the region in light of the imminent election date."
