The president of the Congress, the PSIB-PSOE general secretary, and head of the ticket to the Congress for the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, has demanded that the institutions governed by the PP clarify whether they are allocating public resources to Okdiario.

From Ibiza, in a media briefing, the Socialist leader has referred to reports that indicate that the one who pays for the defense of Koldo García is Okdiario “and the one who should explain why the PP administrations give public money to this outlet is the PP”.

Along these lines, she has insisted that “if any mayor or president of the Consell d'Eivissa are giving money to Okdiario, they should explain why, to see if they have anything to do with Koldo García more than what they have ever explained”.

Regarding the information published by 'Última Hora', according to which the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office intends for Koldo García and Víctor de Aldama to be prosecuted for alleged irregularities in the purchase of face masks, Armengol has indicated that it has been shown that “they have always told the truth and that they explained it in a very clear way”.

She has also stressed that “they want to put these people on trial and there is no one charged, neither any civil servant nor any political officeholder from the PSOE, after having had to put up with all this time the lies of the PP of the Balearic Islands against me and against many political officeholders in the autonomous community. It is clear that the management we carried out was honest, transparent, and with the general interest in mind in order to try to resolve a situation as serious as the one brought about by the pandemic”.
