The president of the PP in Castile and León and the Junta, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, this Saturday has taken aim at the PSOE by reproaching that in Valladolid it proposes to change trains that do not work for anti-maltreatment telematic bracelets that also do not operate.

During his speech at a pre-campaign event held in Hall 4 of the Valladolid Fair, together with the national leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Mañueco lashed out against the recent reshuffling of the socialist candidacy for Valladolid, in which the minister Ana Redondo replaces the minister Óscar Puente.

"They move on from trains that don't work to anti-maltreatment bracelets that don't work." From there, it has been called into question: "Is this really what Sánchez can offer our land?" and he has denounced the "irresponsibility," the "negligence," and the "shamelessness" that, in his view, the central government shows.

The regional leader has insisted that in the elections on November 29 "the future of Spain is at stake" and has called for achieving "the necessary change" to put an end to the Government of Pedro Sánchez, whom he has defined as "the worst of democracy, with an infamous record of service" and "a terrible management."

Against that backdrop, the leader of the 'popular' party in Castile and León has pointed to Núñez Feijóo as the alternative capable of providing "confidence, the future, and security" to citizens. "Feijóo knows what course our country has to take so that we start functioning again," Mañueco stressed, showing confidence that the PP will manage to prevail at the ballot box.

In his address, the president of the PP in Castile and León defended that Spain needs a "responsible" and "effective" government that looks after infrastructures, makes it easier to access housing, reduces the taxes that "suffocate" families and businesses, and protects the countryside against the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

At the same time, he has reiterated that "bad management has consequences," referring to both failures in the rail network and shortcomings in protection systems for victims of gender-based violence. "Never has a government like Sánchez's been so harmful to public services in the entire history of our country," he emphasized.

The "DNA" of management of the Partido Popular

Fernández Mañueco contrasted the national situation with the record of governance in Castile and León, where, as he has stated, "good management" forms part of the "DNA" of the Partido Popular.

As an example, he has cited the leadership of the Community in health, education and social services, the free bus transport through the Buscyl card, and record levels in public housing and rental aid.

In his view, the mayors and provincial officials represent that model of closeness that the PP intends to extend to the whole country, and he has taken the opportunity to recognize the work of the party membership and to support the candidacies for the province of Valladolid.

Also taking part in the event were the head of the list for Congress for Valladolid, María Pardo; the mayor of the capital and candidate for the Senate, Jesús Julio Carnero; and the provincial party president and of the Diputación, Conrado Íscar.

Mañueco has concluded his speech by assuring that the organization of the PP is “mobilized to the maximum” in all the municipalities with the aim of bringing Núñez Feijóo to the Palacio de la Moncloa.
