Sumar has presented in Congress a series of parliamentary questions directed at the Government to detail the situation regarding the work of locating, exhuming, and identifying the mortal remains of the poet Federico García Lorca and the three people executed alongside him in August 1936: the teacher Dióscoro Galindo González and the banderilleros Francisco Galadí Melgar and Joaquín Arcollas Cabezas.

In a document accessed by Europa Press, the coalition requests from the Executive a detailed report of all interventions carried out, promoted, or funded since the entry into force of the Historical Memory Law of 2007 until today, specifically aimed at the search for these four victims.

Furthermore, Sumar demands that the Government specify what new measures it considers essential to implement within the current democratic memory policies to "strengthen investigations that lead to definitively clarifying" the whereabouts of the victims of the 1936 coup d'état in this mass grave.

The formation emphasizes that these actions must be guided by the principles of truth, justice, and reparation, and advocates for intensifying the cooperation of public administrations with universities, specialists, and memorial initiatives.

Similarly, Sumar has asked the Government if it has any specific plan or initiative, distinct from the general excavations that have been carried out in the Víznar ravine.

Finally, the parliamentary group demands to know if the Executive is aware of the historical testimonies indicating the possible appearance and subsequent transfer, without official record, of bone remains during the construction works of the Federico García Lorca park in the Granada municipality of Alfacar in 1986.
