The Board of Spokespersons of the Congress has agreed to set for September 3 the appearance in full of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, to account for the crisis in Ceuta, according to parliamentary sources cited by Europa Press.

The Executive had registered this Tuesday its formal request for appearance, initially proposing September 9, coinciding with the first full session of the new session period.

However, in the meeting of the Board of Spokespersons, several groups, including some partners of the Government, warned that this date was too late. In addition, for that same day 9, the presence in the Plenary of the third vice president and minister for Ecological Transition, Sara Aagesen, was already scheduled.

Finally, it has been agreed that Sánchez's intervention will take place on Wednesday of next week, September 9, at 9:00 a.m.

The decision was made a few hours before the Permanent Deputation pronounces on the request from the PP for Sánchez to appear urgently in the Chamber during some of the remaining days of August, an initiative that some of the parliamentary allies of the Government were considering supporting.
