The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has reiterated this Tuesday that "there was no report" that allowed for the prediction that on July 30 there would be a massive influx of migrants as recorded in the autonomous city.
His statements come after the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, stated this same morning in the Defense Commission of Congress that the CNI did indeed convey information to the Security Forces and Corps and to the Government Delegation in the days leading up to the massive entry.
Questioned at the press conference following the Council of Ministers about whether he maintains his position after Robles' words, Grande-Marlaska indicated that he had no knowledge of "any warning that alerted of an entry of this magnitude." At the same time, he specified that both versions can be compatible if one differentiates between the ordinary monitoring of the situation and the existence of a specific warning that anticipated a massive episode like the one that ultimately occurred.
