The deputy of Sumar in Congress and number two of Compromís for the general elections on November 29, Alberto Ibáñez, has stated that the leaders of ERC, Podemos, and Frente Amplio who wish to support the alternative left unity candidacy in the Community of Valencia will be "welcome."

"We will invite everyone and I think it is important that those people who represent what we have built in Valencia get involved in the campaign," he pointed out this Tuesday at a press conference in Congress, emphasizing that this coalition arises from the territory itself and from collaboration with formations such as IU, Podemos, and ERC in the community.

Thus, when asked if he would like leaders like Gabriel Rufián and Irene Montero to participate in the campaign for this candidacy, he reiterated that "those people who want to come and participate will be welcome" and insisted that, beyond whether joint events are held or separately, the essential thing is to show support for the Compromís-Frente Valenciano candidacy, which represents the project of unity of the Valencian left.

Ibáñez's statements contrast with those of the spokesperson of Compromís in Les Corts, Joan Baldoví, who this Monday expressed his "support for candidates from Valencia to speak here, in Valencia" ahead of the general elections and stressed that he desires "a Valencian campaign with Valencian candidates."

On the other hand, the Secretary General of Podemos, Ione Belarra, has reminded that her party has reached agreements for these elections with various territorial forces, including Compromís, and has assured that they will campaign in all the territories where they run. In the Valencian case, the 'purples' contribute the head of the list for Alicante within this coalition.

Furthermore, she has highlighted that the tandem formed by Irene Montero and Gabriel Rufián is what "can really give hope back to many people who are very disillusioned" with a government that has "failed" the progressive majority.

Sources from Compromís indicate that this Wednesday a meeting will be held to start outlining the events of the electoral campaign in the Community of Valencia, where it will be discussed which leaders will be invited to the rallies and which top figures will participate in them.
