The newspaper holds, based on documentation and testimony, that the auditors did not individually review or validate the final versions of the reports in which their signatures appeared.

The controversy centers on the authorship and supervision of those documents and on their use in proceedings against hospitality establishments. The accusations do not equate to facts declared proven by a court.

LaLiga’s response

The organization rejects the published version, says it has evidence that the auditors were aware of the use of their signatures and notes that there are prior lawsuits with some of them.

LaLiga also announces that it will take the legal actions it deems appropriate in response to the accusations.

What this implies for the proceedings

The information does not allow it to be assumed that complaints or rulings against bars have been annulled. Any consequence for a specific case file will depend on its documentation and the corresponding judicial decisions.
