Three minors belonging to the same family have lost their lives this Friday in an airstrike attributed to the military coalition led by Saudi Arabia against a locality located south of Sana'a, the capital of Yemen controlled by the Houthi rebels.
The health official of the insurgency, Anees Alasbahi, has made public the death of the three children after a bombing on the district of Dauran Anes, in the province of Dhamar, although he has emphasized that this is an initial count and pending update.
Along with the three deceased minors, at least nine other people have been injured in these attacks which, according to the minister, were carried out with "cluster bombs" and targeted "civilian housing".
The Houthis, who on September 3 launched a large-scale offensive in the west of the country, have responded with numerous missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia, including several airports, in retaliation for the support of the international coalition led by Riyadh to the military operations of the Yemeni government recognized by the international community.
For their part, the forces loyal to the internationally recognized Yemeni authorities announced on October 4 a large-scale offensive with the aim of recovering the areas recently seized by the Houthis and even advancing towards the capital, Sana'a, under the control of the rebels since 2014.
