The Málaga municipality of Campillos has become this Sunday a meeting point for thousands of people who have come to enjoy its traditional Jamón Fair and products derived from pork. The 18th edition of this Provincial Festival of Tourism Singularity has once again met expectations, and the José María Hinojosa Park has presented a full house.

This was detailed by the City Council in an information note, which highlights that the high attendance is a constant since the beginnings of this gastronomic appointment, already consolidated as a reference event at the provincial and autonomous level and as a privileged showcase for Campillos. One more year, 15,000 visitors have been reached at the fair according to official sources responsible for the event’s security.

Around 60 companies linked to the pork sector and food industry have made available to the public a wide variety of products derived from pork and prepared in an artisanal manner, with jamón as the main draw. Chorizos, morcillas, salchichones and other items such as cheese, olive oil, or different organic products also played a prominent role.

The program of the Jamón Fair and products derived from pork has been strengthened with a cultural and leisure proposal aimed at all audiences. During the morning, the Interpretation Center Reserva Natural Lagunas de Campillos and the churches and houses of the different brotherhoods remained open.

In addition, a tourist train has offered tours of the municipality’s main sites, and an children’s area and a playroom service have been set up for the youngest. The schedule was completed by several musical performances.
