The Governing Council has given the green light for the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport to grant aid in a total amount of 229,995 euros to the entities that manage the Wine Routes of Castilla y León, with the aim of promoting cultural, rural and enogastronomic tourism in the Community. The period for carrying out the subsidized actions will run from October 2026 to September 2027.

These economic contributions are aimed at the Consorcio Ruta del Vino Arlanza, the Asociación Ruta del Vino Arribes, the Asociación Ruta del Vino de Cigales, the Asociación para el desarrollo del enoturismo en El Bierzo, the Consorcio Ruta del Vino Ribera del Duero, the Asociación Ruta del Vio de Rueda, the Asociación Ruta del Vino Sierra de Francia, the Asociación Ruta del Vino de Toro and the Asociación Ruta del Vino de Zamora. All of them act as Managing Bodies of their respective Denominations of Origin and must retain their official recognition as Wine Routes of Spain.

The purpose of these subsidies is to support the initiatives for the promotion of wine tourism in Castilla y León "as potential drivers of its economic activity" and they are framed within the Product Manual 'Ruta del Vino de España'. This document sets out the requirements necessary to maintain the certification granted by the Asociación Española de Ciudades del Vino, ACEVIN, and the Secretaría de Estado de Turismo.

The Department of Culture has underlined that, to the nine Wine Routes already certified and integrated into the quality club promoted by ACEVIN at the national level, a tenth has recently been added: the Ruta del Vino de León. This has achieved Certification as a Ruta de Vino de España, a process for which it has had the support of the Junta.

The regional Executive has detailed that, in order to obtain certification as Wine Routes of Spain, it is essential to comply with the criteria set out in the Product Manual drawn up by ACEVIN. These criteria have been divided into various subcriteria with the aim of facilitating their assessment by the Managing Body of each route, by the external auditors and by the managers of the establishments integrated in them.
