The president of the Parlament, Josep Rull, together with the counselor of Justice and Democratic Quality of the Generalitat, Ramon Espadaler, members of the Mesa and spokespersons of the different parliamentary groups, observed this Thursday a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the railway accident that occurred in Urda (Toledo).

The gathering was held in front of the main façade of the Parlament and brought together representatives of PSC-Units, Junts, ERC, PP, Vox, Comuns and CUP, in addition to a large number of deputies and staff of the Catalan Chamber.

The Govern has decreed 3 days of official mourning in Catalunya for this accident, which run from this Thursday until Saturday, October 31. During this period official events are suspended and flags fly at half-mast in the Parlament, in the buildings and premises of the Generalitat and in the rest of public corporations of Catalunya.
