The technological center Eurecat announces from this Tuesday at the Agrobiotech Innovation Forum "new solutions for predictive agriculture" that integrate robotics, sensors, mobile data, AI, and omics sciences. The meeting takes place in Lleida and will last until Thursday.
According to Eurecat in a statement, these technologies aim to convert the information generated in the field into anticipatory capacity, in order to predict harvests, detect diseases early, and analyze the state of the soil.
Among the new features being showcased, the center presents a next-generation AI assistant that helps in the daily management of agricultural operations from a mobile phone, both through voice commands and text.
Additionally, Eurecat demonstrates solutions in agricultural robotics and precision agriculture aimed at enhancing the efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability of the entire agri-food sector.
AgroVibe, the new intelligent assistant
The assistant, called AgroVibe, is designed to streamline the recording of tasks and treatments and to simplify the relationship with digital tools in the field, as it "allows connection with machinery platforms, management, and other sources that farmers work with," such as sensors or external services.
The Business Manager of the Food Market at Eurecat, Carol Benedí, has emphasized that "the integration of information about crops, soil, water, and environmental conditions allows for the development of predictive models and support tools" that promote more efficient, sustainable, and resilient agriculture.
Collaborative robotics and agrivoltaic systems
In the field of collaborative robotics, Eurecat presents an autonomous ground robot designed to monitor the state of crops and transport fruit in uneven terrain. In parallel, in the field of industrial robotics, it showcases a production system with flexible and modular architecture to handle fragile elements like bottles.
The center also displays advances in agrivoltaic systems that incorporate organic, flexible, and semi-transparent photovoltaic modules, manufactured through printed electronics, which enables their integration with plant growth.
