The Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero has made public that the 2025 Vintage receives the qualification of "very good", after a valuation process in which recognized professionals from the wine sector have intervened.
The decision has been endorsed by the Plenary of the Regulatory Council, after studying in detail the conclusions raised by the Exceptional Qualification Committee, responsible for tasting a representative sample of white and red wines made with the 2025 harvest.
To analyze the quality and potential of this vintage, the Regulatory Council has resorted to an Exceptional Committee composed of ten specialists, including sommeliers, specialized journalists, winemakers, and other professionals directly linked to the Denomination of Origin.
The score proposed by the Exceptional Committee for the harvest corresponds to the "Excellent" scale, although the Plenary of the Regulatory Council considers that this vintage does not meet the requirements demanded in Ribera del Duero to be qualified as such, which is why it has unanimously decided to qualify the 2025 harvest in Ribera del Duero as "Very good".
