The Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero has communicated that the 2025 Vintage finally receives the qualification of "very good", after a valuation process in which recognized specialists from the wine sector have intervened.
The decision has been endorsed by the Plenary of the Regulatory Council, after studying in detail the conclusions of the Exceptional Qualification Committee, the body responsible for tasting a representative sample of white and red wines made with the 2025 harvest.
To assess the quality and potential of the new vintage, the Regulatory Council has resorted to an Exceptional Committee made up of ten professionals, including sommeliers, specialized journalists, winemakers, and other experts linked to the Denomination of Origin.
The score proposed by the Exceptional Harvest Committee corresponds to the "Excellent" scale, although the Plenary of the Regulatory Council considers that this vintage does not meet the requirements demanded in Ribera del Duero to be qualified as such, which is why it has unanimously decided to qualify the 2025 harvest in Ribera del Duero as "very good".
