The 'foodtech' Plesh has completed a funding round worth 3.75 million euros, led by the 'streamer' Ibai Llanos and the former footballer Gerard Piqué, according to the company’s announcement this Monday.
Both investors become "part of the project and the construction of the brand," joining as partners and co-founders of the company. The capital obtained will be used to accelerate the growth of the brand in the Spanish market and to initiate its internationalization process.
The CEO of Plesh, Jaume Betrian, has pointed out that the company's intention is to apply a "disruptive mindset to the construction of the brand."
Llanos has emphasized that his purpose was to "be part from the beginning and help build products" and not to limit himself solely to a collaboration based on his name.
For his part, Piqué has remarked that Plesh "has a great product, a huge category ahead, and a team with a lot of ambition."
