Choventut Aragonesista, a youth organization linked to Chunta Aragonesista, has celebrated this weekend at the Municipal Hostel of Borja a new edition of its Summer School, a training event that seeks to consolidate internal organization, promote political participation, and deepen the analysis of the reality that Aragonese youth live.
Over three days, the attendees have had the opportunity to train and debate around the immediate challenges of the organization and of the young people of Aragón, as well as about the importance of new generations having their own voice and real decision-making capacity in the political sphere.
The program started with a feminist workshop-debate, accompanied by a theatrical piece by Mary Carmen Bozal. On Saturday, the Private Observatory of LGTBI Public Policies of Aragón held a training session focused on public policies and LGTBI activism. On Sunday, the School concluded its agenda with a workshop on Aragonism taught by the former coordinator of Choventut, Rafa Rubio, the deputy secretary of Chunta Aragonesista, Alberto Alcaine, and the communication secretary of the youth organization, Azara Lana.
In the closing event, the president of CHA, Jorge Pueyo; the councilors of Borja Mamen Chamorro and Julio Andía, as well as the national coordinator of Choventut Aragonesista, Marina Rodríguez, participated.
Rodríguez emphasized that recovering this School means "having our own space again to train, organize, and collectively think about what role we want to play as youth in the future of Aragón." "Aragonese youth must have their own voice and also occupy the spaces where decisions are made," she concluded.
