The spokesperson for CHA in the Cortes of Aragón, Jorge Pueyo, plans to request during this political term the appearance in Parliament of the president of the regional Government, Jorge Azcón, with the aim of "purging responsibilities" for "the cases of absolute negligence" in the management of the forest fire in Las Peñas de Riglos (Huesca), which in August has devastated around 14,500 hectares.
From Chunta, the launch of an investigation Commission will be promoted and, if necessary, another study Commission to "investigate what has happened" and address the repair of all the damages caused, emphasizing the impact of the fire on the environment of the old monastery of San Juan de la Peña and also referring to other recent fires, such as those in La Litera and Peñarroya de Tastavins.
Pueyo has indicated that with the start of the new political period begins "a long-distance race until the municipal elections in May," which Chunta faces "with a lot of work, a lot of responsibility, and, above all, with the desire to put the Aragonese back in their rightful place."
The Aragonese leader has intervened in the round of spokespersons convened this morning by the president of Parliament. CHA will focus its work not only on the issue of fires but also on the housing law, public accounts, and the possible advance of the general elections, in addition to the municipal ones.
The spokesperson for CHA has demanded that Navarro maintain "the cordiality" of Parliament "always from independence" and "that they do not always lean in favor of some and against others."
