The president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has insisted that there is "no information" linking Morocco to the trigger of the crisis caused by the massive entry of 80,000 migrants in Ceuta at the end of July.
The head of the Executive has also emphasized that he does not have data from the State Security Forces and Corps or from intelligence services that provide "any doubt" about a possible involvement of Morocco in that massive arrival to the autonomous city.
During an interview on 'Cadena Ser', reported by Europa Press, Sánchez pointed out that the investigations into the origin of the crisis are still open, but he has focused on the rumors and misinformation spread on social media after the Supreme Court ruling that prohibits 'hot returns' in swimming entries, a context that "criminal organizations" would have also taken advantage of.
The president added that those rumors circulated on platforms "associated with both Russia and Israel and with an ultraright international that always uses migration, not only to attack Spain but also Europe."
