The PP deputy for Zaragoza, Pedro Navarro López, will leave his seat in Congress this Monday and will end his trajectory in institutional politics after more than two decades of public activity, according to sources from the Popular Party who indicated this Saturday to Europa Press. The popular parliamentarian thus also abandons his organic functions in the formation, a decision that obeys "for professional reasons."
Navarro had been serving since July 2025 as the Deputy Secretary of Organization of the PP of Aragón, in addition to the Secretary of Transparency and Good Governance in the national leadership of the party. The resignation, according to the same sources, is a well-considered determination that had already been communicated previously to the popular leadership.
His next professional stage will take place at the public affairs consulting firm Vinces, where he will assume the direction of the new delegation that the company will launch in Aragón, as 'El Heraldo' reported today.
Born in Zaragoza in 1977 and graduated in Law from the University of Zaragoza, Navarro has held responsibilities in various areas of the Administration. He was a deputy in the Cortes of Aragón between 2007 and 2011 and, subsequently, a councilor in the City Council of Zaragoza between 2011 and 2019.
After his time in regional and municipal politics, he made the leap to the national scene and obtained a seat in Congress for the Zaragoza constituency. In the general elections of July 2023, he headed the PP list for this province.
The seat that Pedro Navarro leaves vacant will presumably be occupied by the next member of the candidacy, Mireia Bondía, mayor of Maella. The Popular Party also retains the deputies Luis María Beamonte and Raúl Cuevas for Zaragoza.
