The parliamentary groups of PP and Vox announced this Friday, October 2, that they have reached an agreement to give the green light to the Bill on Teacher Authority and School Coexistence in Educational Centers of Cantabria.

For the moment, it is unknown when it will be submitted to a final vote in Parliament, as the debate on the partial amendments registered by the different groups still needs to take place. The deadline to submit these amendments ends today.

In a joint statement, both formations explained that they will support the partial amendments that each has presented separately to the legal text (4 from PP and 10 from Vox), as well as those they have registered jointly (5).

Likewise, they specified that "they will support those presented by the other parliamentary groups only if both parties consider it appropriate."

Finally, they emphasized that this understanding is the result of "permanent dialogue and joint work" carried out with the aim of "improving the educational system of Cantabria" through "the recognition of the legal status of teachers, providing facilities for the daily functioning of the centers, and the introduction of essential measures to promote coexistence in the classrooms of the region, aspects contemplated in the aforementioned law."
