The Plenary of the Parliament of Cantabria will debate this Monday, October 26, the Law of Authority of the Teaching Staff in a session in which the appearance of the Minister of Education, Sergio Silva (PP), is expected to inform about the PISA 2025 report. On the same day, the opposition groups will demand a 10 percent increase in the Municipal Cooperation Fund and will raise issues regarding the situation of replacement housing for those affected by the demolitions of La Arena, in Arnuero, among other matters included in the agenda.

The session will start at 10:00 hours with the debate and subsequent voting on the draft Law of Authority of the Teaching Staff and School Coexistence.

Next, two motions will be seen: one from the Regionalist Group regarding the implementation of the Housing Account for young people and another, presented by the PSOE, focused on economic growth.

The agenda also includes the non-legislative proposal (PNL) from the PSOE that demands a 10% increase in the Municipal Cooperation Fund. Likewise, the PRC will request a meeting with the fishing sector to analyze the impact of fuel costs on the fleet, while Vox will defend an initiative to relax livestock sanitation campaigns.

In addition, in this Plenary, the Minister of Education will appear to present the results of the PISA 2025 report.

Control of the Government

In the block of control of the Government (PP), the ministers will respond to two interpellations: one, formulated by the PSOE, regarding the professional category of dietitian-nutritionist in the Cantabrian Health Service; and another, at the initiative of Vox, regarding the update of the fibromyalgia protocol from 2015.

The PRC will direct several questions to the Executive regarding the concerted places of the System for Autonomy and Care for Dependency planned for 2026; about various aspects related to the delivery to those affected by the demolition sentences of La Arena of the replacement housing of Bocarrero, in Arnuero; and regarding the status of processing of the biogas plant in Hazas de Cesto.

The parliamentary day will close with the questions raised by Vox regarding the self-employed and the subsidies from SODERCAN.
