Eurovision Junior 2026 celebrates this Saturday, October 24, its grand final in Malta, where 16 countries will compete to win the 24th edition of the children's music contest. Spain will be represented by Lucas Paulano, a 10-year-old singer from Jaén who will perform "Cuore Bello (I love you, I love you)", a song dedicated to love, memories, and the most important people in our lives. The gala will begin at 21:00 hours (Spanish mainland time) and can be followed live on La 1 of TVE and RTVE Play. One of the peculiarities of the festival is that, unlike the adult Eurovision, viewers can vote for the representative of their own country, so the Spanish public will be able to directly support Lucas Paulano.
The voting began this Friday, October 23, at 23:59 hours and will remain open until 20:59 hours this Saturday, just before the start of the final. However, this will not be the only opportunity to participate, as the organization will enable a second voting window of approximately 15 minutes after all the countries have performed. The procedure is completely free, is done online, and allows participation from anywhere in the world, even from countries that are not competing in this edition.

What time does the voting for Eurovision Junior 2026 close?
The organization has established two different voting periods for this year's edition. The first began on Friday, October 23 at 23:59 hours and will end this Saturday, October 24 at 20:59 hours, just before the start of the gala. During this period, viewers can cast their votes after watching a summary of the performances and participating songs.
The second phase will begin once the 16 live performances have finished. At that moment, the platform will be re-enabled for approximately 15 minutes, offering a new opportunity to choose the three favorite candidacies. The organization has not set an exact time for the final closure, as it will depend on the development of the gala, so it is advisable to follow the presenters' indications during the broadcast.
Additionally, voting is allowed once in each of the two phases, so those who participated before the final will be able to do so again after listening to all the songs live. The organization warns that it may discard multiple or irregular votes that violate the established rules.
How does the voting system for Eurovision Junior work?
The result of Eurovision Junior 2026 will be decided through a mixed system in which the public vote represents 50% of the total score and the professional juries contribute the other 50%. Each of the 16 participating countries has a jury responsible for evaluating the performances and distributing their points, while the votes from the viewers are collected through the official platform.
The professional juries have already evaluated the candidacies during the dress rehearsal held on Friday, October 23, known as "Jury Show", while the public can vote both before the final and after the performances. Once the second voting is closed, the results will be transformed into points and incorporated into the juries' scores to determine the winning country.
Lucas Paulano will perform last representing Spain
Spain will close the performances of Junior Eurovision 2026, as Lucas Paulano has been selected to sing in the sixteenth and last position, immediately after Georgia. The young artist, winner of The Voice Kids in 2025, will defend on the stage of Malta "Cuore Bello (I love you, I love you)", a composition in which he has participated along with Blas Cantó, Dangelo Ortega and Carlos Almazán.
The song combines Spanish and Italian and revolves around childhood memories, family ties, and affection for loved ones. For its staging, the Spanish delegation has prepared a visual proposal with which it seeks to convey the emotional message of the theme to the stage.
The final will take place at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre, in Ta' Qali, and will be broadcast by La 1 and RTVE Play starting at 21:00 hours, with commentary from Tony Aguilar and Julia Varela. In addition, Gonzalo Pinillos, the Spanish representative in the 2025 edition, will be in charge of announcing the points awarded by the national jury.
With the voting already open, the public has until 20:59 hours this Saturday, October 24 to participate in the first phase and will have a second opportunity during the broadcast of the final.
