The spokesperson for the Comuns in the Parlament, David Cid, has demanded that the president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, come to the Catalan Chamber next September to provide explanations about the Pisa error and analyze the start of the school year, coinciding with the strike day called.
In an appearance before the media, Cid has argued that the most appropriate thing is for Illa to account in September, when conclusions can already be drawn after the closure of the opened proceedings, and not at the end of July, as proposed by Junts.
"An appearance on July 31 is practically a clandestine appearance, it is almost doing a favor to the president of the Generalitat," said the leader of the Comuns, thus justifying his group's vote against Junts' request, which aimed for Illa to appear this Friday.
According to Cid, the explanations offered by the Minister of Education, Esther Niubó, in the Parlament were insufficient, since, in his opinion, the groups still do not have additional information compared to what they had before her intervention.
"We are experiencing a new disaster from the Departament. Information that was known since March has been hidden. During these 4 months, it has still not been discovered what happened and who is responsible," Cid has denounced, leaving several questions about the management of the case in the air.
