The spokesperson of the PP in Les Corts, Nando Pastor, has questioned "exactly why and for what" the Political Conference of the PSPV-PSOE is being convened this weekend in Alicante, organized by the Valencian socialists under the slogan 'Recover what matters'. In his view, "it rather seems like a full-blown provocation to the people of Alicante" in light of the "disregard" that, he claims, the Government of Spain led by Pedro Sánchez has exercised over the province in terms of investments.
Pastor has expressed this, in statements sent to Europa Press, on the occasion of the conclave of the Valencian socialists that begins this Saturday at the University of Alicante. The opening event features the general secretary of the PSPV and Minister of Science, Diana Morant, the secretary of Organization of the PSOE, Rebeca Torró, and the socialist representation from Alicante.
"The Valencian 'sanchismo' is meeting in Alicante with Diana Morant at the helm and we want to know exactly why and for what, because it rather seems like a full-blown provocation to the people of Alicante," Pastor has hinted, insisting that the meeting comes after years of complaints about the lack of state investments in the province.
The 'popular' spokesperson has emphasized that "the same 'sanchistas' who are meeting in Alicante are those who have placed the province in last place, the province 52 out of 52 possible, for four years regarding investments by the Government of Pedro Sánchez in Spain."
In this regard, he has recalled that "they have denied us investments and infrastructures as important as water, the expansion of the airport, roads, trains, Cercanías, and all of this must be clarified, and Diana Morant and all the 'sanchistas' must take good note of all this to put an end to the disregard, to the permanent and systematic denial that the Government of Pedro Sánchez has had with the people of Alicante."
