The spokesperson for Transport of the PP in Les Corts, José Forés, has described as "incredible" that Compromís denounces a supposed chaos in the ITV of the Comunitat Valenciana "when it was the great responsible for a disastrous reversal of the service." Following the criticisms from the Valencian coalition regarding the management of the public company Sitval, he pointed out that "it seems they are trying to rewrite history to cover up their botches."
Forés has responded in this way to the deputy of Compromís Vicent Granel, who this Tuesday denounced the "collapse" of the public system managed by Sitval, with almost 100,000 pending vehicle appointments and average waits exceeding a month at numerous Valencian ITV stations, relying on the data sent by the Generalitat in response to a question in Les Corts.
In a statement, the representative of the PP has condemned that "those who caused the disorder now come to give lessons," and has defended that the Consell has been "three years working to stabilize a situation inherited and that is costing a lot of effort to correct." He has also reminded that "if not, let them ask their former partners of the PSOE, who already rejected the reversal model defended by Compromís," referring to the previous Botànic executive.
Likewise, he has questioned the figure of "100,000 vehicles waiting for an appointment." In his opinion, "it is not sustainable to talk about 100,000 vehicles pending an appointment when the management of the system itself makes it impossible to know how many vehicles have not yet requested inspection. In any case, what exists are already assigned appointments to carry out the ITV."
The 'popular' deputy has assured that "in the vast majority of the stations in Valencia and Alicante it is already possible to get an appointment in less than 30 days," although he has admitted that there are "some points with greater pressure, especially in Castellón, where part of the reinforcement planned for September will precisely be concentrated."
As he has explained, the Generalitat is finalizing the public employment offer that will allow the addition of 73 new professionals and the launch of three provisional stations, two of them in the province of Castellón. He has also emphasized that "the system incorporates new appointments every week to continue reducing waiting times."
"While Compromís left a reversion without planning or guarantees, this Consell is reinforcing the staff, expanding the service capacity, and adopting measures to improve user care. The difference is clear: some generated the problem and others are working to solve it," Forés has emphasized.
