The duty court for Violence against Women of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has ordered this Sunday the admission to provisional prison, communicated and without bail, of the man detained for, allegedly, injuring his former partner with a bladed weapon in a dwelling in the capital of Gran Canaria.
According to what the Superior Court of Justice of Canarias has conveyed to the media, the judicial authority has agreed to the provisional prison measure after taking statement this Sunday from the arrested man, 77 years old, considered alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted homicide.
The events took place in the afternoon of Thursday, when the woman, 74 years old, had to be treated and evacuated to a hospital center because of the injuries suffered from a bladed weapon.
After the assault, agents of the National Police proceeded to the arrest of the man as alleged responsible for a crime of attempted homicide against his former partner in a dwelling located in the neighborhood of Schamann.
