The number 1 court of the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of Instance of Estepona (Málaga), on duty, has decreed this Thursday the provisional imprisonment, communicated and without bail for the man arrested for the presumed death of his roommate last Monday in this Málaga locality.
In this way, initially and without prejudice to what may be determined later in the instruction phase of the case, the investigated remains charged with an alleged crime of homicide, according to reports from the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA).
During his appearance before the judicial authority, the detainee has given a statement, as the same sources have specified.
The events occurred past 8:00 PM last Monday, when the Emergency system 112 Andalucía received a call alerting of a fight between two men in a house in the municipality. Immediately, health services and the National Police were mobilized.
Police sources indicated that the victim, 37 years old, was evacuated to the hospital due to the severity of the injuries and died this Wednesday. The man had allegedly been attacked by his roommate, 52 years old, with a knife in the chest area. After the attack, the alleged author was arrested.
