Fly2Galicia will start operating from Santiago de Compostela on December 1 with eight destinations and an initial schedule of 17 weekly frequencies. The new company has announced tickets from 19 euros for its domestic connections and from 39 euros for some of its European flights, with hand luggage included.

The arrival of Fly2Galicia will expand the offer of the Rosalía de Castro airport with three domestic connections and five international ones. The company has designed its first schedule around an Airbus A320 with 180 seats and plans to maintain it initially until October 24, 2027.

The premiere will take place with a flight between Santiago de Compostela and Zaragoza on December 1. From there, the company will progressively deploy its initial network of routes.

The eight destinations of Fly2Galicia from Santiago

The schedule announced by Fly2Galicia includes connections from Santiago with Alicante, Zaragoza, and Granada within Spain.

The international offer will consist of Brussels, Munich, Milan-Malpensa, Prague, and Venice.

The company plans 17 weekly frequencies. Alicante will have three frequencies per week, while the other seven routes will have two weekly frequencies.

The initial network is as follows:

  • Alicante: three weekly frequencies.
  • Zaragoza: two weekly frequencies.
  • Granada: two weekly frequencies.
  • Brussels: two weekly frequencies.
  • Milan-Malpensa: two weekly frequencies.
  • Munich: two weekly frequencies.
  • Prague: two weekly frequencies.
  • Venice: two weekly frequencies.

The head of Fly2Galicia, Gueorgui Iavorov Popov, has explained that the project seeks to strengthen the air connectivity of Galicia after the loss of direct connections that the community has experienced in recent years.

How much will Fly2Galicia flights cost

One of the main attractions of the launch is the prices announced for the first tickets.

Connections within Spain will start from 19 euros per trip. For international destinations, the company has announced flights to Milan and Brussels from 39 euros, while the starting fares for Munich, Prague, and Venice will be 49 euros.

In all cases, these are prices "from", so the specific fare will depend on the flight and the availability at the time of booking.

What luggage does Fly2Galicia include

Another of the elements with which Fly2Galicia intends to differentiate its offer is in luggage. According to the conditions announced by the company for its launch, the fares will include two pieces of hand luggage.

The passenger will be able to travel with one cabin suitcase of up to eight kilos and one personal item.

This means that the initial price announced by the company does not start solely from a small personal item, although it will be necessary to pay attention to the final conditions of each fare when the booking platform is fully operational.

When Fly2Galicia starts flying

The date marked on the calendar is December 1, 2026. Zaragoza will be the first destination of the new operation from Santiago airport.

The first schedule will extend until October 24, 2027, according to the information provided on the occasion of the launch.

Fly2Galicia had announced the opening of ticket sales for August 18 through its website. However, this Thursday, August 20, the official page consulted continues to show a notice of work on the site, so it does not allow checking the availability and final price of the flights from there.

An Airbus A320 for the first eight routes

Fly2Galicia will begin its activity with an Airbus A320 configured for 180 passengers. The company intends to use the aircraft to cover the eight connections included in its initial schedule.

The flights will not initially be operated under a Fly2Galicia own air operator certificate. The project will use an ACMI or "wet lease" model, whereby an authorized European operator provides the aircraft and the necessary operational elements while Fly2Galicia develops and markets its network of connections.

The company's plans do not end with this first aircraft. Popov has indicated that the goal is to base a second aircraft in Santiago in April, which would allow for the incorporation of new routes. The company also does not rule out studying future operations from the airports of A Coruña and Vigo.

The keys to Fly2Galicia

Fly2Galicia will thus begin its activity with eight destinations, 17 weekly frequencies, and starting prices of 19 euros. Santiago will initially be the center of a network that combines national connections with European cities such as Brussels, Munich, Milan, Prague, and Venice.

The next step will be the effective launch of the marketing and to know the concrete availability of the announced rates for the flights that will begin on December 1.
