The national spokesperson for deregulation, energy and economy of Vox, José María Figaredo, met this Friday in Barcelona with the Cercle d'Economia, before whose representatives he detailed the Vox program for the general elections of November 29: "Remigration is an essential pivot." At the meeting he was accompanied by the Vox spokesperson in the Parliament of Catalonia, Joan Garriga, and by the candidate for Congress for Barcelona, Juanjo Aizcorbe.
During the meeting, Figaredo presented the main lines of his party's project, in which, in addition to remigration, he underscored the national priority; the commitment to deregulation and the simplification of the rules "that today suffocates economic activity and entrepreneurs", as well as a generalized tax cut.
After the meeting with the entity, Figaredo explained before the media: "We have exchanged views, they have stated and explained to us what their vision of the current economic situation is and we have explained to them what the Vox program is, what the plans we have for these upcoming elections are." He emphasized that the objective of the meeting was to compare diagnoses about the economic situation and explain his party's proposals.
Criticisms of the management of security in Barcelona
In another vein, when asked about last Saturday's riots in the Catalan capital, Figaredo condemned the episodes of violence recorded in the streets of Barcelona and attributed to the Government the responsibility for the "absolute insecurity" that, in his opinion, is experienced in the city.
Along these lines, he denounced the consequences of the clashes on Barcelona's productive fabric and stated that "Self-employed workers, workers, people who have raised the shutter every day have seen how their future has been ruined in a few hours by a Government that is incapable of guaranteeing the security of Spaniards", thus bringing his assessment of the incidents to a close.
