The C-1, C-3 and C-4 lines of Cercanías Madrid have been taken out of service and the rest of the network is suffering significant incidents during the day of the train drivers' strike called for this Thursday.
As reported by Cercanías Madrid through its social media, the rest of the lines present notable "delays, route changes and travel times longer than usual".
The Sindicato Español de Maquinistas y Ayudantes Ferroviarios (Semaf) is maintaining a 24-hour stoppage in all the companies of the Renfe group. For this call, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has established minimum services of between 50% and 75% in the Cercanías network.
Given the impact of the protest, travelers are advised to opt for alternative means of transport. Cercanías Madrid has apologized for the inconvenience caused and has expressed its gratitude for the users' understanding.
At the same time, Metro de Madrid has decided to put all the available train fleet into circulation at rush hour on the network, in order to absorb the increase in demand resulting from the train drivers' strike in Renfe, according to the company itself.
