Accenture has launched a new global business unit under the name of Accenture Construct, created to support organizations responsible for large projects in the planning, execution, and optimization of large-scale infrastructure programs, ranging from airports and electrical grids to data centers, rail lines, and advanced manufacturing facilities.
According to the multinational, this new division concentrates all the company's activity related to large infrastructure projects, an area in which the demand for its services has quadrupled in the last three years, in order to provide clients with a single responsible partner throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
The entity has been conceived to transform the way of executing this type of programs through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and data, with the aim of leaving behind delays, cost overruns, and risks associated with traditional and fragmented models.
With this bet, Accenture aims to capitalize on the momentum of three converging demand cycles: the deployment of infrastructure for AI and data centers, the global energy transition, and the long-term modernization of infrastructure.
According to the estimates presented by the firm, the total market for integrated services for large infrastructure projects currently stands at 260 billion dollars (228.118 billion euros) and is expected to grow at an annual rate of 7.5% to reach 348 billion dollars (305.327 billion euros) by 2030.
To achieve this, the new unit is supported by a common data platform that provides a unified operational view of the entire execution ecosystem and whose AI-enabled workflows allow for evolving from reactive management to predictive decision-making.

Accenture Construct integrates capabilities developed both organically and through various strategic acquisitions, bringing together more than 5,000 specialized professionals spread across America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.
Among the companies incorporated into this ecosystem are Alfa Consulting, Anser Advisory, Arca, BOSLAN, Comtech Group, Fibermind, Greenfish, IQT Group, Orlade Group, Soben, and Verum Partners.
The activity of the entity, which offers services to private clients and public administrations from multiple countries, is organized around five global lines of business focused on asset results. Firstly, the Data Centers division covers everything from conceptual design and site planning to construction management, accelerated deployment, and commissioning for high-tech clients.
For its part, the Utilities and Telecommunications area deals with fiber networks, 5G, power plants, electrical grids, water systems, and infrastructures linked to the energy transition, such as wind energy and electric vehicle charging.
In the field of Transport and Public Infrastructures, the firm focuses its work on the development of airports, hospitals, rail networks, and roads for administrations and operators; while the Advanced Manufacturing area serves highly automated production facilities for chip manufacturers, vehicles, industrial equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
Finally, the Process Industries line is oriented towards decarbonization infrastructures, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and complex field programs aimed at the chemical, mining, and oil and gas sectors.
