The Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations (CEHAT) and the Hotel and Tourist Business Association of the Valencian Community (HOSBEC) announced this Thursday at the Benidorm City Hall the XXI edition of the Congress of Spanish Hoteliers.

The meeting will take place in the Alicante city from April 21 to 23, 2027, and will be developed under the slogan "A tourism at the height." The organization expects to gather more than 500 entrepreneurs, executives, and tourism professionals to address the key challenges facing the industry.

In the presentation event, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the president of CEHAT, Jorge Marichal; and the president of HOSBEC, Fede Fuster, intervened, highlighting the relevance of the congress for the positioning of the city and the sector.

The 2027 edition will take over from those held in Oviedo (2021), Mallorca (2023), and Cartagena (2025), consolidating itself as one of the reference forums for the analysis and debate of tourism in Spain.

The congress will also coincide with the 50th anniversary of the creation of HOSBEC, an anniversary that will allow for the commemoration in Benidorm of five decades of business representation and transformation of a key sector in the tourist development of the Valencian Community.

In this way, the 2027 event extends a trajectory that has taken the Congress of Spanish Hoteliers to various emblematic destinations in the country. After Oviedo in 2021, Mallorca in 2023, and Cartagena in 2025, Benidorm will assume the role of host of an event already considered one of the main spaces for reflection and meeting for national tourism and hospitality.

Concentrated presentations and experiential day

As a notable change in the organization, this XXI edition will incorporate an updated format in which most of the presentations and academic debates will take place in a single day.

The second day will have a more practical and experiential focus, with technical visits and activities in hotels and tourist resources of Benidorm. The objective is to show on-site the evolution of the city's tourism model in areas such as digitalization, sustainability, and data management.

The organization has announced that the opening of registrations for attendees will take place next month in October through the official website of the congress. Likewise, a free accommodation model will be adopted in order to distribute the economic impact of the event among the entire hotel plant of the municipality.
