Fain Ascensores plans to allocate 106 million euros to build a new industrial and logistics headquarters along with a technology campus in Rivas-Vaciamadrid. The future complex will occupy an area of 55,000 square meters and contemplates the creation of more than 100 new qualified jobs, according to the company communicated this Tuesday.

The development, whose completion is scheduled for 2031, will integrate the current facilities in Vallecas and San Fernando, concentrating in a single location the manufacturing, innovation, and supply of elevators and spare parts intended for the group's European operations.

With this initiative, the company plans to gradually increase its production capacity from the current 1,500 units to reach a maximum potential of 20,000. In addition to serving its own subsidiaries, the new facilities will allow the launch of a specific supply line of lifting solutions for external clients, including other European operators in the sector.

The investment commitment comes after the purchase of 13 companies in Spain and other European countries in 2025 and aims to provide the group with a common industrial and technological platform that supports its international growth strategy.

"We want this complex to be the starting point of a new stage of growth in Europe and a demonstration of the ambition of a family business that aspires to be a benchmark in the industry at a national and European level," emphasized the president of Grupo Fain, Nicolás Mediavilla.

A technology campus and two large industrial warehouses

The plan includes the construction of a technology campus of 7,500 square meters and two industrial warehouses of 10,000 square meters each, in addition to a testing and validation tower for elevators 50 meters high, designed to conduct simultaneous tests with up to eight teams.

This complex will concentrate corporate engineering, research and development (R&D) activities, training, the remote attention center, and a product exhibition area. Likewise, purchases and supply to European subsidiaries will be centralized, which will facilitate the standardization of products and components in all markets in which it operates.

The campus will also be the core of the training for Fain professionals in Europe, with training and specialization programs in proprietary technologies, aimed at sharing knowledge between countries and standardizing technical procedures.

Staggered deployment until 2031

According to the initial planning, the first industrial building will be completed in 2028, while the technological campus will begin operations in 2030. The second building will be completed in 2031, at which point the project will be considered finished as a whole.

The logistical operation of the complex will be fully robotized and the site will incorporate solar energy facilities and energy efficiency measures both in the buildings and in the industrial processes, with the goal of achieving net zero energy consumption. Additionally, the company has agreed with the City Council of Rivas-Vaciamadrid to reserve part of the plot for green areas.

Founded in 1972, Grupo Fain has more than 1,700 employees and manages a portfolio of over 100,000 equipment under maintenance. The company estimates to reach a turnover of 300 million euros in 2026.
