The hotel chain IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Kleek Development —a joint venture integrated by Emaar Al Delta and Modern Style Home— to launch the "Crowne Plaza New Cairo," a 250-room hotel located in the urban development of Sixth Settlement, in New Cairo, as communicated by the multinational.

The opening of the establishment is scheduled for the first quarter of 2031 and is part of the expansion plan for the eastern area of Cairo, a commercial and residential area in the midst of a real estate and infrastructure growth phase.

The hotel project will feature four differentiated dining options, six spaces designated for meetings and events —including a large banquet hall—, a pool, gym, spa, and retail areas.

The general manager of IHG for India, the Middle East, and Africa (IMEA), Haitham Mattar, has emphasized that this addition responds to the increase in corporate and international demand in the Egyptian capital and to the repositioning of the Crowne Plaza brand towards the "flexible business travel" segment.

At the same time, the operation strengthens the group's footprint in the North African country, where it already operates 10 hotels and has a development portfolio of 28 hotel projects in various phases.

On the other hand, the CEO of Kleek Development, Hussein Dawoud, has framed this initiative within the strategy to attract real estate and tourism investment towards the new urban developments of the Egyptian capital.
