IHG Hotels & Resorts has made public a management agreement with Westcombe Group, through its division Acre Hotels Collection, to launch the "Hotel Indigo London - Kingston," which is scheduled to open in 2027, according to the chain itself.

The plan involves rehabilitating the historic building "Kingston Bridge House," an old university accommodation now vacant located in Hampton Wick, within the municipality of Richmond upon Thames.

The property will be converted into a mixed-use complex that will integrate a boutique hotel with 90 rooms and 22 private residences.

With this project, IHG will reach its seventh hotel under the "Hotel Indigo" brand in Greater London, an administrative region and ceremonial county that encompasses the city of London and its metropolitan area.

The future establishment will rise on the banks of the River Thames and will have good connections to London Waterloo station and Heathrow Airport, in addition to being located near points of interest such as Hampton Court Palace, Kew Gardens, or Richmond Park, with a proposal aimed at both business travelers and vacation tourists.

The vice president of development for Europe at IHG, Willemijn Geels, has emphasized that the new contract reflects the strong demand from owners for the "Hotel Indigo" brand in the UK and Ireland, while the CEO of Westcombe Group, Kamal Pankhania, has pointed out that the renovation will boost the local economy through job creation, residential offerings, and increased tourist appeal.
