The average disbursement for trips booked online for the summer in Spain will stand at 555 euros, which implies a rebound of 4.7% compared to the average amount registered in 2025. This is according to the Summer 2026 Report prepared by Webloyalty, which details that 46% of bookings will correspond to tourist packages, while 16% will be for hotels and another 16% for airline tickets.
As pointed out by the VP General Manager of Webloyalty Iberia & Latam, Eduardo Esparza, in an environment marked by generalized price increases, consumers have become accustomed to searching, comparing, and selecting the most advantageous option, which is driving the importance of companies with an 'online' channel.
"Given price uncertainty, the convenience of a package deal offers a greater sense of control over spending," Esparza added.
Regarding the buyer profile, the age group between 45 and 54 years old accounts for the largest volume of these types of purchases, with 31%, followed by the segment of 55 to 64 years old, which represents 27%. The gender distribution is practically balanced: 52% of customers are men and 48% are women.
In relation to the device used, the report reflects that the mobile phone is consolidating as the preferred way to make bookings, as 61% of operations are carried out from smartphones, compared to 38% processed via computer and 1% from tablets.
Finally, the study anticipates that the sales volume in the 'online' travel business will experience a global increase of 7.3% throughout 2026.
