Orange has presented MentorIA, a solution of artificial intelligence oriented to the educational field that seeks to reinforce the learning and critical thinking of students. The tool does not provide closed answers, but accompanies the student through the Socratic method, formulating questions and guiding their reasoning.

The company has detailed that the platform has been conceived by HUMANSDID and developed by BQ specifically for educational centers, functioning in a private and protected environment, aligned with the school curriculum and with the current data protection regulations.

This system is aimed at students between 14 and 18 years old and, for the moment, is available for the 4th year of ESO in subjects such as History and Biology. In addition, it allows teachers to create virtual classrooms, monitor the progress of students, and adapt the content to the needs of each group.

After a first pilot phase in three schools in the Community of Madrid, where the reception has been positive, the telecommunications operator is already immersed in the incorporation of new educational centers with the aim of scaling the initiative and subsequently extending it to more subjects.

The director of Social Impact at Orange Spain, Ana Torres, has emphasized that the company wants to "promote an artificial intelligence that contributes to learning and the development of fundamental skills such as analysis, reflection, and critical thinking."

In the same vein, the CEO of HUMANSDID, Jose María Piera, has indicated that "technology only deserves to be called progress when it is subordinated to the human," while the director of BQ, Alberto Valero, has emphasized that the main goal is "to provide teachers with the right tools to accompany them."
