The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, has highlighted that the labor market recorded in September "the best September of the historical series," surpassing 22.4 million affiliated persons and chaining an annual increase of more than 3.4%.

In her analysis of the affiliation figures for the month of September, Saiz emphasized that only in that period more than 92,000 new contributors have been incorporated and that, during a large part of the month, the daily data remained above 22.5 million workers. In her opinion, this evolution "forecasts a trend of growth in the labor market that will be maintained in the coming months."

The head of Inclusion has also pointed out that there are already more than 10.5 million women employed and has stressed that employment "also grows in stability and quality, not just in quantity," with more than 15 million affiliates with indefinite contracts being counted.

Saiz has also wanted to highlight the contribution of foreign workers, who have exceeded 3.6 million and represent more than 16% of the workforce in Spain. In this context, she defended that the extraordinary regularization "is being a key piece."

As she specified, at the end of September there were more than 420,000 affiliates registered in Social Security linked to the extraordinary regularization process.
