The Observatory of Marinas and Ports has announced the "Directory of nautical shows, congresses, and professional meetings in Spain 2026," a sector study that for the first time compiles in a single document the 23 main events linked to the nautical industry, sports ports, nautical clubs, the blue economy, and maritime tourism in the national territory.
According to the entity in a statement, the report organizes the offerings into two differentiated blocks to better reflect the nature of each meeting: on one hand, nine nautical shows and fairs oriented towards commercial exhibition, the presentation of services, and infrastructures; and on the other, fourteen congresses, forums, and technical days focused on innovation, sustainability, management, and the decarbonization of ports.
Of all the events studied, fourteen already have a confirmed edition or have been held in 2026, which evidences the consolidation of the professional nautical calendar in Spain.
The annual programming began in March with the Nautical Congress of ANEN in Huelva and extended during the spring with highlighted events such as the Palma International Boat Show –which in its 42nd edition brought together 310 companies– in addition to specialized meetings in electric navigation such as the Barcelona Electric Marine Show.
In the final stretch of the year, significant convocations are planned such as the International Nautical Show of Barcelona, the Valencia Boat Show, the II National Congress of Marinas of Spain in Las Palmas, or the V Professional Days of Marinas of Andalusia.
Geographically, most of the activity is located in the Mediterranean arc and the islands. Andalusia and the Balearic Islands lead the territorial distribution with six meetings each, followed by Catalonia, with 4, the Canary Islands, with 3, the Valencian Community, with 2, and the Region of Murcia and Galicia, with 1 event each.
The analysis also incorporates a historical view that spans more than sixty years of transformation of the sector, combining the oldest fairs in the country –such as the Nautical Show of Barcelona, created in 1963, or the Palma International Boat Show, which has been held since 1983– with new professional formats that have recently emerged to respond to the electrification of fleets, the demands of environmental regulation, and the promotion of the blue economy.
