The international wine fair "Winemad" gives a new boost to its strategy of external opening after closing a collaboration agreement with Zerosei Event Spain, a company with extensive experience in organizing events and managing international projects. The main objective of this agreement is to facilitate the arrival and participation of wineries, institutions, and entities from the Italian wine sector in Winemad 2027.

With this step, it is intended that Italy has a leading role in a fair that aspires to establish itself as a meeting point between producers, buyers, distributors, and wine professionals from different countries. The next edition will be held from March 15 to 17 next year at Ifema, as detailed this Monday by Ifema Madrid in a statement.

The president of Zerosei Event Spain, Andrea Lazzari, accompanied by the executive, Michele Rossi, recalled during his visit to the first edition that "Italy could not miss a fair like Winemad." Those words are now materializing in a concrete project thanks to this agreement, which will make it possible to work directly in the Italian market to promote the fair, contact wineries and associations in the sector, and facilitate their incorporation into the next edition, as indicated in the note.

For the president of Winemad, Gerardo Correas, "this agreement is one more step" in his effort to make it "a truly international fair." "Spain and Italy are two great wine-producing countries and we believe that Madrid can be a great place to meet, share experiences, and, above all, do business. Because in the end, that's what it's about, that wineries find new buyers and new business opportunities," he pointed out.

Correas insisted that they do not want Winemad "to be a fair where only wine is shown," but that their purpose is for "wine to be sold, for commercial relationships to be established, and for contacts to continue after the fair." He also believes that the presence of Italian wineries "will greatly enrich the offer and will also make the fair more attractive to international buyers."

The alliance with Zerosei Event Spain "will allow the development of promotional and recruitment actions in Italy, establish contacts with wine institutions and organizations, and study participation formulas adapted to the needs of Italian wineries, both individually and grouped," the statement notes.

With this framework of collaboration, Winemad faces its 2027 edition with the goal of "bringing together 800 exhibitors, exceeding 10,000 professional visitors, and having at least 250 international buyers from 21 countries."
