More than 500 unoccupied homes in Galicia have gone to the rental market this year thanks to the tax incentives approved by the Xunta, according to the Minister of Finance, Miguel Corgos, during his intervention this Thursday in the parliamentary committee where he detailed the budget project for the next fiscal year.

In his appearance, Corgos referred to tax measures such as the deduction of 500 euros for the rental of empty homes, as well as the 15% reduction in repair and maintenance costs aimed at adapting the properties for rental. "This year we see how those measures did work and allowed the mobilization of more than 500 homes that were empty and became rented," highlighted the head of Finance, contrasting the actions of the Galician Executive, "with fiscal measures and with works" and "obtaining results already," to what "other administrations like the central Government announce."
