Elecciones generales del 29 de noviembre · Demócrata

Carla Galeote started publishing videos on TikTok during the pandemic and, five years later, has established herself as one of the feminist content creators with the greatest presence in the Spanish political debate. Born in Lleida in the year 2000 and graduated in Law, she has built a community of hundreds of thousands of followers through posts about equality, social rights, and current events, a journey that has also led her to participate in radio programs, audiovisual spaces, and digital media.

With the general elections of November 29 getting closer, Galeote has incorporated into her posts criticisms of a possible government of PP and Vox, comments on the proposals of Santiago Abascal, and messages of support for the mobilization for the right to housing. Her progressive orientation is explicit, although there is no party affiliation that allows her to be presented as a representative of a specific formation.

From TikTok to the media

Galeote's popularity began to grow in March 2021, when she opened a TikTok account while she was confined with her sister. What started as a form of entertainment transformed into a channel for feminist dissemination, fueled by short videos in which she addressed political and social issues with direct language.

Her interest in feminism had emerged years earlier, during her adolescence; in fact, she explained that the case of La Manada influenced her decision to study Law. In January 2023, an interview with Público already attributed to her 367,000 followers on TikTok and 116,000 on Instagram.

The growth of her audience facilitated her arrival at other formats. Galeote has collaborated with La Futura Channel, GenPlayz of RTVE, Catalunya Plural, Loft of Catalunya Ràdio and Buenismo Bien, in addition to participating in La Base, the space promoted by former vice president Pablo Iglesias, where she developed a section on feminist current affairs called El Machistòmetre.

The leap from social media to the publishing world came in 2023, when she published Let's Talk About Feminisms, an essay from the Península publishing house aimed especially at young readers. The work combines personal experiences with reflections on equality, sexual education, harassment, mental health, and trans-inclusive feminism. Its approach is based on the intention of bringing the feminist movement closer to those who are beginning to take an interest in it.

A feminist voice in the electoral conversation

Although her activity is not limited to electoral politics, Galeote has turned the defense of feminism and social rights into central elements of her public identity. She has participated in meetings with leaders such as Yolanda Díaz, Irene Montero, and Ada Colau and has been particularly critical of Vox's proposals.

During the pre-campaign of 29N, she has spread messages against the possibility of an Executive made up of PP and Vox, in addition to publications about the program of Abascal's formation and the demands of the housing movement.

It has also referred to the case of Maricarmen, the 87-year-old woman whose eviction triggered protests in Madrid, using the slogan "Maricarmen somos todas". Her activity reflects how certain social demands reach audiences that do not necessarily follow parliamentary debates.

Her confrontation on Espejo Público over abortion

The ideological differences of Carla Galeote with other content creators have also reached television. In October 2025, the activist starred in a confrontation with Carla Restoy, a Catholic influencer, during a debate on Espejo Público about an initiative by Vox approved by the Madrid City Council to inform women of a supposed post-abortion syndrome.

While Restoy defended her positions against abortion, Galeote rejected that institutions should intervene in a decision she considers personal and claimed the autonomy of women. "Genocide is what is happening in Gaza, not abortion", she responded during the conversation, in which both evidenced their differences on reproductive rights.

Digital activism on networks

The public exposure of Galeote has also been accompanied by controversies. Galeote has reported having suffered threats, identity theft, and sexual manipulations of her photographs. In June 2026, during an intervention on SER Catalunya, she stated that being a feminist on social networks was "a risky sport" and called for greater protection against digital harassment and sexual content created through artificial intelligence.

The influence of Carla Galeote does not come from a political position or a party organization, but from an audience built on networks and later expanded to traditional media. Her interventions combine dissemination, activism, and political opinion, with a style that seeks to provoke conversation and mobilize those who share her demands.
