The main negotiator of Iran and current president of Parliament, Mohamed Baqer Ghalifab, reiterated this Thursday to the United States that the resolution of the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz will only be possible if Washington fully accepts the seven points set out by Tehran in its proposal.

The Iranian leader has released a brief message on his social media accounts after it was confirmed in recent hours the sending of a letter from the US vice president, JD Vance, to the authorities of the Islamic Republic, amid the deadlock in the conversations about the future of the strait, currently paralyzed.

In his statement, Ghalifab has emphasized that Iran's demands are perfectly defined "and have thus been communicated to the mediators", and has warned the president of the United States, Donald Trump, that his tactic of combining gestures of dialogue with threats of air strikes is destined to fail.

"The stick-and-carrot approach does not work with Iran. Progress will only be achieved when Iran's seven conditions are agreed upon", the negotiator-in-chief has ruled, making it clear that Tehran will not deviate from its roadmap for Hormuz.
